In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, all current residential parking permits have been extended and will now expire on January 31, 2021. The City of Seal Beach has changed the process to purchase and renew residential parking permits and guest permits. Concurrent with the extension, the City of Seal Beach will be implementing a new online permit platform available on December 17, 2020. A link to the new online permit platform will be available on this webpage. If you access the old online permit platform on or after December 17th, you will be redirected to the new permit platform.
In order to purchase a residential parking permit, you must create a new account, enter your vehicle information, upload relevant documentation, and submit payment. Residential Permits are checked using license plate, therefore there are no physical permits. The residential permit costs will remain $20 per residential permit with the updated permit effective dates February 1, 2021 through October 31, 2021. Guest permits can be purchased by residents as well; limit is two per household. You do not need to purchase a resident parking permit to purchase a guest permit. Guest permits will remain $30 per permit and will transition to virtual permits only. The updated permit effective dates for guest permits will be February 1, 2021 through October 31, 2021.

Step 1 - Create a resident account
Step 2 - Provide vehicle information for resident permit(s)
Step 3 - Provide proof of residency either through DMV verification or proof of residency
Step 4 - Once approved (Approx. 24 hours) you can add permits to cart
Step 5 - Pay online (credit/debit) or at City Hall (cash or check)
Step 6 - Pick up permits with valid identification
