As a function of the City Manager’s office, the Human Resources Department provides integral personnel services to the other City Departments to achieve the selection and development of talented individuals who can provide the highest quality services to Seal Beach residents, businesses, and visitors.
Human Resources includes administration of the City's benefits programs; maintenance of personnel records for the City’s employees; ensuring compliance with State and Federal employment mandates; coordination of employee safety and workers’ compensation programs; disciplinary and grievance procedures; interpretation and implementation of the Memoranda of Understanding with employee bargaining units; and recruitment, selection, hiring, and orientation of all new employees.
