Parking Permits

COVID-19 UPDATE: PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR UPDATES RELATED TO COVID-19 PRICING AND PERMIT EXTENSIONS UNDER EACH TYPE OF PERMIT.

There are various types of parking permits issued within the City, including resident and guest passes in Old Town, beach lot permits, merchant permits and contractor permits.

Residential Permits:

Residential parking permits are valid from November 1st through October 31st of each year. Residential Permits are checked using license plate, therefore there are no physical permits. It is important to update changes to your account if any vehicle information changes. Guest permits can be purchased by residents as well; limit is two per household. Guest permits are a hanging tag that should be placed in the guest’s windshield, hanging from their rear view mirror. You do not need to purchase a resident parking permit to purchase a guest permit. The City does not replace lost or stolen guest permits. You must wait until November 1st to purchase new ones. Renewals for these permits begin the 2nd week of October and are valid right away. No extensions or fee reductions will be implemented related to residential permits.

  • $20 RESIDENT- Non-transferable
  • $30 GUEST - Transferable to any vehicle

Merchant Permits:

Merchant permits are valid from July 1st through June 30th of each year. Only businesses with an active business license may purchase merchant permits. Merchant permits are non-transferable. Vehicle information is required for each merchant pass obtained and are verified by license plate. An emergency order was approved reducing fee to renew merchant permits to $42 for one year due to COVID-19 closures.

  • $50 Merchant
  • $42 for Permit Renewals only for the period of July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021

Beach Lot Permits:

Beach permits are an annual permit and are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Beach permits may be purchased by residents and non-residents and gives access to park in the 1st Street, 8th Street and 10th Street Lots. Beach permits are non-transferable. The City does not replace lost or stolen beach permits, you must purchase a new one at the full cost to replace it. Due to COVID-19 closures, all permits that expired prior to June 30, 2020 were granted an automatic 2-month extension.

  • $117 BEACH LOT (Resident)
  • $70 BEACH LOT (Resident Senior - 65+ / income less than $35K/year)
  • $180 BEACH LOT (Non-Resident)

Contractor Permits:

Contractor permits are for contractors doing business in the City and are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Contractors must have an active Contractor Business License to qualify for purchase of these permits and they are only valid from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. No extensions or fee reductions will be implemented related to contractor permits.

  • $60 Contractor - Non-transferable
