There are various types of parking permits issued within the City, including resident and guest passes in Old Town, beach lot permits, merchant permits and contractor permits.

Residential and Guest parking permits can be renewed starting October 1 2021, renewal will take effect on November 1 2021.
In order to purchase a residential parking permit, you must create a new account, enter your vehicle information, upload relevant documentation, and submit payment. Residential Permits are checked using license plate, therefore there are no physical permits. The residential permit costs will remain $20 per residential permit with the updated permit effective dates February 1, 2021 through October 31, 2021. Guest permits can be purchased by residents as well; limit is two per household. You do not need to purchase a resident parking permit to purchase a guest permit. Guest permits will remain $30 per permit and will transition to virtual permits only. The updated permit effective dates for guest permits will be February 1, 2021 through October 31, 2021.
Merchant permits are valid from July 1st through June 30th of each year. Only businesses with an active business license may purchase merchant permits. Merchant permits are non-transferable. Vehicle information is required for each merchant pass obtained and are verified by license plate.
Beach permits are an annual permit and are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Beach permits may be purchased by residents and non-residents and gives access to park in the 1st Street, 8th Street and 10th Street Lots. Beach permits are non-transferable. The City does not replace lost or stolen beach permits, you must purchase a new one at the full cost to replace it.
Contractor permits are for contractors doing business in the City and are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Contractors must have an active Contractor Business License to qualify for purchase of these permits and they are only valid from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. No extensions or fee reductions will be implemented related to contractor permits.
