The Coronavirus pandemic has impacted the way that the Seal Beach Police Department operates. In order to accomplish our mission of driving down crime and improving the quality of life in Seal Beach, along with helping to stop the spread of infection, we have implemented the following proactive measures to keep the community and SBPD personnel safe and healthy.

The Seal Beach Community Development and Public Works Departments are suspending all permit counter appointments until further notice. The Departments will continue to receive and issue permits via scheduled delivery appointments only.

The City of Seal Beach encourages the community to avoid overbuying and to purchase only what they need. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact communities all over the United States, the overbuying of food and household products means that some community members might go without.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, changes will be made to the Senior Mobility Program.

As a result of the directives issued by federal, state, and local governments, many Seal Beach businesses have had to change the way they operate in order to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Restaurants have been hit especially hard as they are limited to take-out and delivery orders only.
