Water Quality

The nearshore waters of Seal Beach are tested twice weekly by the Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHA). Any beach closures or warnings are published on the OCHA website, as well as notifications being posted in the affected areas of the beach. The Seal Beach Marine Safety Department recommends staying out of the water for 72 hours after any significant rainfall even in the absence of an OCHA advisory. For more information regarding beach closures or advisories, please go to the OCHA website.
