The Seal Beach Police Department has adopted a shelter dog from the Seal Beach Animal Care Center. “Missy” is a five-year old German Shepard mix and has been adopted by the personnel at the Police Department as the official “comfort dog.”

Seal Beach bicycle patrol officers arrested a man who led other officers on a short foot chase. The bicycle officers apprehended the suspect in an alleyway near Main Street.

Burglary suspects arrested after stealing nearly $14,000 in merchandise from a sneaker store and crashing into a fire hydrant.
On Sunday, June 30th at about 2:33 a.m., the Seal Beach Police Department received a call of a commercial burglary at the Private Sneakers located at 12410 Seal Beach Boulevard. A witness saw three suspects stealing merchandise from the closed business and watched as they fled the scene in a silver vehicle.
