OCMVCD: Rain and Mosquitoes

The recent unusual rain coupled with the predicted forthcoming high temperatures (forecast to reach 90 degrees by the end of the week) is the perfect condition for mosquito breeding. The Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District (OCMVCD) urge residents to take precautions to prevent an increase in mosquito population. Residents are asked to check their properties for any standing water that may have been left by the recent rain. This includes plant containers, tarps, buckets, outdoor toys, and anything that may have caught and held rain water.
