The City contracts with a private company, Consolidated Disposal, to provide trash, recycling, and green waste collection for all City residents and commercial businesses. Residential accounts are billed and collected by the City via the bi-monthly water bill. Commercial business accounts are serviced and billed directly by Consolidated Disposal.
If you are a resident and have questions regarding service changes, collection dates*, or what to recycle, please contact the Water Billing Dept. at (562) 431-2527, ext. 1314.
Consolidated Disposal will also pick up 2 "bulk" items per year at no cost to residents. These special trash pickup services are usually scheduled on Wednesdays.
For bin replacement, holiday pickup schedules, or to arrange a bulk item pickup, call Consolidated Disposal Service at (800) 299-4898.

Household Hazardous Waste:
Seal Beach residents have a few options available to them to meet the requirements of the law for the disposal of household hazardous waste. The California Health and Safety Code makes it illegal to dispose of sharps waste (needles, syringes, lancets, and other sharp objects) in the trash or recycling containers, and requires that all sharps waste be transported to a collection site in an approved sharps container. The two closest County of Orange Household Hazardous Waste Collection Centers available free to Seal Beach residents are:
17121 Nichols Street (at Rainbow Disposal)
Near Beach Blvd. and Warner Avenue, Use Gate 6
1971 N. Bluegum Street (at CTV Recycling Center)
At the corner of La Palma Avenue and Bluegum Street
Collection Center Hours:
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Tuesday through Saturday
Closed major holidays and rainy days
More information about household hazardous waste disposal is available by calling (714) 834-6752 or www.oclandfills.com. Thank you for doing you part to keep Seal Beach clean!
