The City of Seal Beach has approved updates to the municipal code and parking permit policy to further improve the parking experience throughout the City

The City of Seal Beach, the Seal Beach Police Department, and the West County CERT team will be hosting a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training class.

The Seal Beach Police Department will host its Volunteer in Police Services (VIPS) Academy commencing on Thursday, June 6th and concluding on Thursday, June 27th. Academy classes will be from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Thursday in June at the Seal Beach Police Department (911 Seal Beach Bl., Seal Beach). Every session is mandatory.

Members of the Seal Beach/Los Alamitos Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (R.A.C.E.S.) and the local Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) joined to conduct an emergency communications drill last Saturday May 4, 2019.

The City of Seal Beach is pleased to announce that the entire Seal Beach Pier will be open beginning Friday, May 24 th at 5pm. Construction on the pier began in September of 2018 after receiving all of the necessary permits from a variety of public agencies, including the California Coastal Commission. The work involved, not only repairing the damage from the pier fire which occurred in 2016, but also completing much needed improvements to the pier’s utilities, lighting, and infrastructure.
