On Tuesday, August 1^st, 2017, the City of Seal Beach will join the efforts of thousands of other communities across the country to promote safety, strengthen police-community partnership and rejuvenate community spirit by participating in the 34^th Annual National Night Out.

Seal Beach Police arrested Adel Rezkallaa, 46, of Torrance for Sexual Battery.  On Tuesday, July 25^th, 2017, Seal Beach Police were contacted by the victim, who claimed that Rezkallaa touched her in an inappropriate and sexual manner.

Beginning August 1^st, for 60 days, the City of Seal Beach will be conducting a pilot program to evaluate various types of parking meters in the existing municipal parking lots on Main Street.  The City is conducting this pilot program in an effort to evaluate the current parking payment [VB1] equipment in anticipation of replacing the older meters currently being used by the City.

On Monday, July 31st, 2017, the Seal Beach Police Department arrested Elin Carrillo-Hernandez (age 43 of Los Angeles) for Attempted Carjacking.

The City of Seal Beach will be hosting a community town hall meeting on Thursday, August 17th, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm.
